- Eradicator pulleys are designed to clean out recirculated material significantly faster than traditional wing pulleys, reducing belt wear and vibration.
- Exclusively paired with heavy-duty spherical roller bearings over ball bearing because they can handle significant radical loads and minor shaft misalignments common in mining and aggregate sectors.
- They use high-strength C1045 or C1018 carbon steel shafts as standard, though 4140 alloy steel is often used for high-stress environments.
- The most common interface between the pulley and the shaft is the XT® bushing system.
- Drum Pulleys are standard cylindrical pulleys used for high-tension applications where a smooth surface is required.
- Typically utilized with Spherical Roller Bearings housed in Pillow Block units. For lighter applications, they may use tapered roller bearings or heavy-duty ball bearings.
- Shafts are typically C1045 turned and polished steel. For extreme-duty cycles (like those found in "Mine Duty" or "Engineered Class" pulleys), 4140 alloy steel is used to increase fatigue resistance.
